Rehydrating: Place the mushrooms in a bowl of water for 15 mn minimum
Cooking time : Morels mushroom require 10 mn Minimum cooking time in a pan
Cook the Morels (Pan-Sauté)
- Initial Sauté (Dry Sear):Place the morels in a large, dry skillet over medium-high heat and cook for about 5 minutes, or until they sweat out their water.
- Add Flavor: Add a neutral oil (like avocado oil) and cook until they start to brown.
- Add Butter: Lower the heat slightly and add butter along with flavorings like shallots or garlic.
- Finish Cooking: Continue cooking until the mushrooms are golden brown and tender.
- Season: salt and pepper, and add fresh herbs like parsley or chives at the very end.
